ADAMS
TECHNOLOGIES, INC;
More than just equipment… Industry
Experience and Expertise!
|
When
considering a new piece of capital equipment, it is important to evaluate
the equipment itself, but it is also Important to evaluate the credentials
of the company selling the equipment. How can you be sure the company you
are considering is the best one for your needs? Adams Technologies’ sales
team, consisting of Mike Adams, Ellen Adams, Connie Adams, Jessica Adams,
Rex Williams, Bob Carter, and Paul Tagliaferro, has over 150 years of
combined industry experience. Below is just a sample of our
qualifications… |
Mike Adams has
been involved in various aspects of the printing and packaging industry since
1973. After joining Southeastern Die Co in 1987 (now Atlas Die LLC) as Sales
Manager of the Genline Division, he has focused his efforts on automation in the
diemaking and diecutting industry. Mike has continued to lead the automation
revolution in this industry by seeking out and developing new technology. His
ongoing commitment to progress won him the prestigious IADD Package Printing
Diecutter/ Diemaker of the Year award in 1997.

Ellen Adams has
extensive experience in the graphic arts with Adams Printing, and in CAD/CAM
software, with Genline Systems. This experience served her well as owner of
Exemplar Systems, where she sold high-end samplemaking plotters in a variety of
applications, and then set up the interface with the CAD software and trained
the operators. Ellen is fluent in Spanish and conversant in at least three other
languages. Ellen now manages the marketing, sales, and technical support for the
Latin American market.
Bob Carter has
a BSIE from Iowa State University, and an MBA from the University of
Connecticut. He recently “retired” from a 35 year career with the Fort James
Corporation, including 20 years as Plant Manager. During this outstanding career
Bob pioneered in-house laser diemaking in the folding carton industry. He served
for twelve years on the IADD Board of Directors, including a two-year term as
President (Although, we should point out that serving as President actually
means a six year commitment!) In 1997, Bob was named the IADD Package
Printing Diecutter/ Diemaker of the Year.
For those active in
the IADD, Rex Williams requires no introduction. Rex gained his extensive
experience in corrugated and rotary diemaking while serving as the General
Manager of Dies, Inc. in Kansas City. Rex has held many different leadership
positions in the IADD, serving as a board member in 1993 and senior vice
president from 1995 through 1998, he was elected president for the 1998-1999
term. Rex also served on the Board of Directors in 1993, and served as a Senior
Vice President from 1995 until 1998. In recognition of such selfless service, he
was selected as IADD Package Printing Diecutter/ Diemaker of the Year
in 2000. Since joining Adams Technologies, Rex has been an integral part of the
team that developed the world’s first rotary bender for curved rule, the
EasyBenderXR 400 ROTARY.
Connie Adams
graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree before
beginning a 4-year job with a research company. Her position as customer service
manager gave her responsibility over several departments. She joined Adams
Technologies full-time in June of 2001, after working with us part-time over
several years. Connie is primarily responsible for sales in the western United
States, and coordinates the efforts of our North American sales team. In her
current position as IADD Southwest Chapter Chair, she has strengthened the
Chapter substantially, and helped to spearhead new efforts that benefit all the
IADD Chapters.
Paul Tagliaferro graduated Phi
Beta Kappa with a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science from the
University of Massachusetts, and has practiced law in the state of New York.
Paul joined the Adams Team in 2000, working in training and customer support.
He has received factory training on the EasyBender, and has also been trained in
the operation of dieboard lasers and our other equipment. Many of our customers
specifically request that Paul visit for follow-up training because of his
experience and expertise with the EasyBender.
